Kaori Shimakura is one of Doremi Harukaze's classmates and initially Reika Tamaki's only friend.
Biography[]
An amateur photographer and gossip hound, Shimakura is always in front of her friends when it comes to news. She is a talented writer and usually spends time gathering pictures or holding interviews with classmates when Tamaki doesn't request her help.
Appearance[]
Shimakura has light skin and ginger hair in crescent-shaped pigtails tied by lilac ties, with a few loose strands of hair on her forehead. Her brown eyes are covered in oval-shaped glasses. She wears a blue shirt with the sleeves rolled to the elbow, light mauve pants, and lilac shoes with white sole.
Personality[]
With a low level of respect for other people's privacy and personal lives, Shimakura is fairly nosy and often the source to go to whenever names are needed. She isn't mean, but can be indifferent towards their bad form and pushy sometimes. Shimakura has no problem with exaggeration or fabricating information, and tends to make enemies fairly quick as a result.
However, Shimakura isn't necessarily a bad person; if someone told her to stop, she usually will do so. Shimakura values her friendship with Tamaki even if the former gets forced into things. They often fight, but Shimakura will worry over her if she thinks something is wrong. She was also revealed to be self-conscious of herself and how other people see her.
Ojamajo Doremi Light Novel[]
The queen of gossip, the Ojamajo search for Shimakura if they need more information. Shimakura debuted in Novel 1 of Ojamajo Doremi 16, when she meet with her friends after leaving school and celebrated their reunion with karaoke. Shimakura reveals some recent information she learned, including Doremi's awkward graduation. She later appears in the same novel when the girls asked her about Tamaki.
In Chapter 2 of Novel 2, the girls track her down to learn more about Akira Narita, a boy associated with Sora Miyamae and the club he's in at school. She describes Akira as a hard worker beause he often hangs out with a girl they recently tried to befriend, Yuuna. The girls cannot understand what she is getting at, making them aggravated by their lack of understanding Shimakura is forced to elaborate further. Given how excited she got be discussion, they start to wonder if Akira is the type of boy she likes. However, they don't bring this up and she leaves.
