''Ojamajo Doremi'' got four different dubs in Spain, one of these being the Catalan adaptation ''La Màgica Do-Re-Mi'', licensed by TV3. It aired on the K3 channel, in the Club Super 3 section from February 15th, 2003 until December 24th 2007. The four seasons and the Naisho OVA were dubbed. The openings and endings were translated, most insert songs were left untouched, aside from "[[WE CAN DO!]]", while others like "[[Sweet Song ABC]]" had translated subs on-screen. This dub was pretty loyal to the original series, as there were very few name changes, most only changed writing or pronunciation, while others were merely translated.
  +
Unlike any other dubs, La Màgica Do-Re-Mi was fully aired once again in 2019, starting on January 8th. One episode was broadcasted twice a day on weekdays. The series took a break on summer, but kept airing after that. The same thing happened once again in 2021, starting on January 11th, this time, two episodes were aired on weekdays.
  +
The Spanish DVD release included the Catalán audio, but it had the Japanese version of the opening for unknown reasons.

An earlier English dub of ''Ojamajo Doremi'' dubbed at Voiceovers Unlimited, aired on Channel i in Singapore in June 2004 and was taken off the air by October of the same year.
  +
  +
This dub is lost media as there isn't any information about the dub such as name changes or episodes dubbed, The only role confirmed in the dub is Denise Tan as Doremi Harukaze.

''For more information: [[Magical DoReMi]]''<br>Magical DoReMi was an English localization of the first season licensed by 4Kids Entertainment. The series aired on the 4Kids TV on September 10th, 2005 and aired up to Episode 26 before it was dropped from their line-up. The series remained absent until November 13, 2007, when 4Kids started uploading the remaining episodes to their website, allowing them to finish the first season. Episode 30 has been skipped and only 50 episodes were dubbed into English.

===French===
  +
The French dub of ''Ojamajo Doremi'' was licensed by Fox Kids who published the series under the title ''Magical DoRéMi''. It was broadcast in France on the Fox Kids channel starting September 2000, followed by ''Sharp'' broadcasting on April 13, 2002, then ''Motto'' on May 8, 2003, and finally ''Dokkān'' on March 8, 2004. The series was rebroadcast on France 5 during the ''Midi les Zouzous'' program on December 21, 2004 and up until 2008, as well as Télétoon from March 12, 2006 until 2012. The French dub was also broadcast in Canada on Télévision de Radio-Canada (now Ici Radio-Canada Télé). The same French dub was also broadcast in Belgium, on AB3 from 2007 to 2008.
  +
  +
While all 201 episodes of the anime were translated into French, the OVA series ''Na-i-sho'' and the films were not translated. The french adaptation was done by Sophie Blanchard-Morizot, Pierre Soyer, Christine Fau, Jean-Yves Luley, Frédéric Slama, Nathalie San Miguel, Marie-Jo Dolladille, Liliane Rousset and Marie Durand-Roberts, under the direction of Blanche Ravalec. The dub was recorded at S.O.F.I.

With the voices of :
  +
  +
* Laurence Sacquet - Doremi Harukaze
  +
* Valérie de Vulpian - Hazuki Fujiwara, Reika Tamaki, Majomonroe
  +
* Fily Keita - Aiko Senoo, Pop Harukaze, Hana, Yuki, additional voices
  +
* Blanche Ravalec - Onpu Segawa, Momoko Asuka, Hana (Sharp), Lala, Seki, Dela, additional voices
  +
* Francine Lainé - Majorika, Haruka Harukaze, Baaya, additional voices
  +
* Odile Schmitt - Onpu Segawa (season 1), Seki (season 1), Baba, additional voices including a lot of the boys in season 1
  +
* Lionel Melet - All the adult male characters, most of the boys
  +
* Laurent Morteau - Keisuke Harukaze (season 1 episode 01)
  +
* Sylvie Jacob - Nobuko Yokokawa (season 1 episode 06)
  +
  +
Due to the lack of budget for an extended cast, Blanche Ravalec voiced a majority of the supporting characters, alongside Francine Lainé and Fily Keita. Odile Schmitt wasn't available for the dub during Sharp and Motto, and thus didn't reprise any of the roles she took in season 1. Tragically, Francine Lainé passed away in 2014, and Odile Schmitt succumbed from a long illness in 2020.

===German===
  +
The German dub was broadcast on RTL II under the title ‘Do-Re-Mi’ starting August 31, 2001, however only the first two seasons were dubbed.
  +
  +
The dub was done at the Munich-based FFF Grupe studio, which had also handled many of RTL II’s other anime programmes at the time, such as Sailor Moon and Pokémon. The script was adapted by Andreas Barz, while the voice direction was handled by Bodo F. Grupe. Many of the characters were given new forenames, though their surnames remained unchanged.

Bulgarian

In 2007, BNT1 of Bulgaria aired a Bulgarian dub of season 2.

Cantonese

Castilian Spanish

Catalan

Ojamajo Doremi got four different dubs in Spain, one of these being the Catalan adaptation La Màgica Do-Re-Mi, licensed by TV3. It aired on the K3 channel, in the Club Super 3 section from February 15th, 2003 until December 24th 2007. The four seasons and the Naisho OVA were dubbed. The openings and endings were translated, most insert songs were left untouched, aside from "WE CAN DO!", while others like "Sweet Song ABC" had translated subs on-screen. This dub was pretty loyal to the original series, as there were very few name changes, most only changed writing or pronunciation, while others were merely translated. The Spanish DVD release included the Catalán audio, but it had the Japanese version of the opening for unknown reasons.

English (Singapore, Voiceovers Unlimited) [1]

An earlier English dub of Ojamajo Doremi dubbed at Voiceovers Unlimited, aired on Channel i in Singapore in June 2004 and was taken off the air by October of the same year.

This dub is lost media as there isn't any information about the dub such as name changes or episodes dubbed, The only role confirmed in the dub is Denise Tan as Doremi Harukaze.

English (United States, 4Kids)

For more information: Magical DoReMi
Magical DoReMi was an English localization of the first season licensed by 4Kids Entertainment.

French

The French dub of Ojamajo Doremi was licensed by Fox Kids who published the series under the title Magical DoRéMi. It was broadcast in France on the Fox Kids channel starting September 2000, followed by Sharp broadcasting on April 13, 2002, then Motto on May 8, 2003, and finally Dokkān on March 8, 2004. The series was rebroadcast on France 5 during the Midi les Zouzous program on December 21, 2004 and up until 2008, as well as Télétoon from March 12, 2006 until 2012. The French dub was also broadcast in Canada on Télévision de Radio-Canada (now Ici Radio-Canada Télé). The same French dub was also broadcast in Belgium, on AB3 from 2007 to 2008.

While all 201 episodes of the anime were translated into French, the OVA series Na-i-sho and the films were not translated.

  • Laurence Sacquet - Doremi Harukaze
  • Valérie de Vulpian - Hazuki Fujiwara, Reika Tamaki, Majomonroe
  • Fily Keita - Aiko Senoo, Pop Harukaze, Hana, Yuki, additional voices
  • Blanche Ravalec - Onpu Segawa, Momoko Asuka, Hana (Sharp), Lala, Seki, Dela, additional voices
  • Francine Lainé - Majorika, Haruka Harukaze, Baaya, additional voices
  • Odile Schmitt - Onpu Segawa (season 1), Seki (season 1), Baba, additional voices including a lot of the boys in season 1
  • Lionel Melet - All the adult male characters, most of the boys
  • Laurent Morteau - Keisuke Harukaze (season 1 episode 01)
  • Sylvie Jacob - Nobuko Yokokawa (season 1 episode 06)

Due to the lack of budget for an extended cast, Blanche Ravalec voiced a majority of the supporting characters, alongside Francine Lainé and Fily Keita. Odile Schmitt wasn't available for the dub during Sharp and Motto, and thus didn't reprise any of the roles she took in season 1. Tragically, Francine Lainé passed away in 2014, and Odile Schmitt succumbed from a long illness in 2020.

German

The German dub was broadcast on RTL II under the title ‘Do-Re-Mi’ starting August 31, 2001, however only the first two seasons were dubbed.

Role Dub name German voice actor Other notable role
Doremi Harukaze Simone Brahmann “Nico Robin” in One Piece
Hazuki Fujiwara Emilie Fujiwara Christine Stichler “Meg Griffin” in Family Guy
Aiko Senō Sophie Senō Anke Kortemeier “Miles ‘Tails’ Prower” in Sonic X
Onpu Segawa Nicole Segawa Sonja Reichelt “Black Cat” in Spider-Man TAS
Hana Hanna Nicola Grupe-Arnoldi “May” in Pokémon
Pop Harukaze Bibi Harukaze Andrea Wick “Akane Tendo” in Ranma ½
Majo Rika Majorca Inez Günther “Usagi ‘Bunny’ Tsukino” in Sailor Moon

In February 2015, the series was licensed for a home release by KSM Anime, who published all 100 episodes available in German on DVD across 4 box sets. Each box contains 5 discs, with the 5th disc also featuring extras such as the original Japanese opening and ending songs, the trailer and a picture gallery. In 2018, a complete box set containing all 20 discs was released, which also included the Sharp film as a bonus.

Indonesian

Italian

The Italian translation of Ojamajo Doremi was licensed by Mediaset under the title Magica Doremì and was broadcast on Italia 1 starting March 4, 2002, with Sharp running from September 9, 2002 to January 2003, Motto running from November 11, 2003 to May 11, 2004, and Dokkān from February 3 to May 25, 2005. The Sharp and Motto films were also translated and broadcast on TV in 2005, in addition to the OVA series Na-i-sho being broadcast on Boing from March 9 to April 6, 2009. The Italian translation features original opening and ending songs sung by Cristina D'Avena, music composed by Giorgio Vanni and Max Longhi, and lyrics written by Alessandra Valeri Manera.

Trivia

  • According to a press release in 2000, Bandai were planning a partnership with Mattel to market Ojamajo Doremi merchandise in the United States. The merchandise was scheduled to launch in the following year, however it was cancelled for unknown reasons.[2]
  • Prior to 4Kids Entertainment's licencing of the series for English-speaking audiences, Toei Animation had previously commissioned Canadian production company Ocean Productions to produce an English dub of the series' pilot episode to be marketed to potential licensors. The pilot was dubbed by Chinook Animation Productions - a subsidiary of Ocean Productions specialised in low-budget productions, and has not been made available to the public as of 2023.[3]
  • The Castilian Spanish dub is the only dub to not change the transformation lines.
  • The Latin American Spanish dub is the only dub to have it re-air on another channel, it is called ETC TV.
  • The Latin American Spanish dub of Sharp dubbed all the songs from the anime.
  • It is actually unknown if Ojamajo Doremi Na-i-sho aired in Spain. People in forums say that it did air once on an autonomical tv network, Canal Extremadura, the user who posted this also reassured that neither the opening or the ending were dubbed, unlike other seasons. As a TV recording has never been found, there's no confirmation that the dub exists.
  • The 4kids and Italian dubs, as well as the Korean dub of Dokkaan, had different songs for their openings, rather than translated versions of the original songs.
  • In the French dub, Majorika's real name was revealed to be 'Bobosse'. However, she finds this name embarrassing and prefers to be called 'Maggie Grigri' instead.
  • The French dub has some inconsistencies, for instance, episode 53 had the spells in place of the transformation line, and one episode had a different spell for the magical stage, while the rest of the series doesn't change it. Other mistakes include names, such as Oyajide being called Comte Philippe multiple times throughout the seasons, or students taking other names for one episode.
  • In the French dub, only one actor voiced every male adult in the anime. Most actors/actresses dubbed multiple characters.
  • In the German dub, some actors voiced multiple characters. As a result Masaru, Watanabe and Shiro had, for example, the same voice actor.
  • In the Arabic and Serbian dub Majorika is a man and in the Serbian dub, all the witch frogs have the same voice actor.
  • The English dub is the only one to have aired the first season of the series only.
    • It's also the only dub known to have poor ratings and not even finish airing on television, with the remaining episodes being put online.
  • The Serbian dub is the only dub to have aired Dokkan and no other season. This dub was illegally made and distributed to Happy TV, only to have Happy TV blacklist it after finding out it was illegal. Likewise, the Bulgarian dub only aired Sharp and no other season. However, there is no exclusive dub that only dubbed Motto and Na-i-sho seasons.
  • The Korean dub is technically the only complete one aside from the original version, since it's the only adaptation to have dubbed all four seasons, the OVA, and all three movies.
  • Some dubs that used the name “Magical Doremi” had different logos that resembled the original series’ logo.
